State Rep. Matt Huffman is the man given the task of leading Republicans back into the House
majority.
The Lima Republican was tapped by House Minority Leader William G. Batchelder to be chairman of the House Republican Organizational Committee. "He has worked on numerous campaigns and is extremely qualified to help lead our efforts to retake the majority in 2010," said Batchelder, R-Medina. Other new key personnel on the House Republican campaign team are Michael Dittoe, political director, and Amy Kerschner, finance director. Dittoe was an aide to former Rep. Diana Fessler and a policy adviser to former Speaker Jon Husted before running the successful House campaign of Rep. Troy Balderson of Zanesville. Kerschner has been a top official in past statewide campaigns, including those of former state Treasurer Joseph T. Deters and Supreme Court Justice Judith Lanzinger. -- Jim Siegel jsiegel@dispatch.com Story toolsToday’s Top Stories
